"Curl is, IMO, the easiest to learn, the most productive, and technically the most capable of all the RIA platforms," said Burton Group analyst Richard Monson-Haefel today as he announced his resignation from his position at Burton Group for a new position as Vice President of Developer Relations at Curl, Inc.
"I loved working at Burton Group - its a wonderful company," Monson-Haefel blogged, in his "Clever Monkey" blog.
He continued:
"One of my primary coverage areas as a Sr. Analyst had been RIA technologies including AJAX, Java applets, Adobe Flex, Curl, Silverlight, Nexaweb, OpenLaszlo, Backbase and many other solutions. I feel I know the RIA space better than most and I believe that Curl, which I posted about here, is the best RIA solution available today. Other solutions from Adobe, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Nexaweb and the open source community (mostly AJAX frameworks) all have strengths, but Curl is, IMO, the easiest to learn, the most productive, and technically the most capable of all the RIA platforms."Leaving Burton Group - one of the best companies I have ever worked for - is a leap of faith," Monson Haefel added. "Faith in the intelligence and pragmatism of the development community. Faith that a superior technology can win. It is a leap of faith with which I leave my Ivory Tower
Curl is not as well known as other solutions and so I'm joining the Curl team based on my faith that a great technology can succeed if it has a great community. That's where I hope to make a difference."
His last day at Burton Group is February 1st; his first day at Curl is February 18th.
