PARIS, October 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Europages is offering internet users the opportunity to test the Beta version of its new website due to be released in January 2008. The "Web 2.0" oriented version will feature innovative and customizable applications. Everything has been done to make the website more user-friendly and to improve the speed of the search engine through the use of several technologies.
Since September 25, 2007, a preliminary version of Europages 2.0 is available online in 5 languages (French, English, German, Italian, and Spanish). Using a clickable tab on the current website's homepage, Europages users will be able to navigate and test new features and developments implemented into the Beta version of the site http://beta.europages.com, such as
- A new search engine Entirely rebuilt, the search engine's performance is enhanced thanks to:
- a richer taxonomy (nomenclature);
- an improved design for more intuitive searches and more relevant results;
- a new graphic layout in green and grey for clear navigation
- A new advertising format: video
The Europages' "Video Spot" is an animated presentation of the companies that advertise on Europages and of their products and services. Europages is responsible for the whole production, and image editions images with video effects - On-screen text is translated into 12 languages (16 in 2008). The Europages "Video Spot" can also be accessed via a link on the advertiser's website.
- A new logo Decidedly modern and streamlined, the logo is engaging and dynamic:
- linear typography;
- dual green tones to encourage contact;
- a classic and original font with two letters that overlap to evoke Europages' values of exchange and international openness.
