White-LED Lighting Jumps Ahead in Output and Efficiency to Levels Comparable to Fluorescent With AlbEO's RP1060 Series Solid-State Light

White-LEDs With More Light, Less Power, and No Maintenance

BOULDER, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/26/06 -- AlbEO Technologies Inc. introduces the new RP1060 series white-LED fluorescent replacement fixtures with light levels and total efficiencies comparable to many dual lamp T8 fluorescent light fixtures. Targeted at lighting applications with high maintenance costs, the RP1060 is a reliable solution to the problem of rising operating costs and can quickly pay for itself with long lasting operational savings in energy and maintenance.

This new benchmark in Solid-State Lighting (SSL) performance is made possible with high efficacy light emitting diodes (LEDs) and AlbEO's new MTR(TM) thermal management technology. Now all the benefits of LED lighting, low maintenance, long lifetimes, high shock and vibration tolerance, no mercury recycling requirements, instant on-off, full dimming, safe, low energy consumption and excellent low-temperature performance are available for general fluorescent lighting applications.

The 4 foot RP1060 provides outputs of 5000 lumens at greater than 50 lumens/Watt. Product options include correlated color temperatures of 2500K, 3500K, 4200K, 5000K, and 7000K, adjustable mounting brackets, universal power input, emergency 90 minute battery back-up module, and lengths of 2, 3, and 4 feet. An optional integrated passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor provides the ideal solution for substantial energy savings without the hassle of integrating 3rd party solutions. AlbEO's new MTR(TM) thermal management technology (patent pending) eliminates the need for metal core boards, a key cost driver in many solid-state lighting products, and allows the LEDs in AlbEO's light fixtures to run cooler, brighter, and longer. "AlbEO is leading the way towards the economic deployment of general LED lighting by creating reliable, high-performance products that provide cost effective solutions," said Jeff Bisberg AlbEO's president. "The field of solid-state lighting is developing rapidly and our system level innovation is the next step in driving both the cost-per-lumen and the total cost of ownership to levels that will compete with traditional lighting solutions."

Already shipping, the 4 foot, 5000 lumen, RP1060 is volume priced under $450 ($90 per kilo-lumen). For more information on how AlbEO can help you lower operational costs contact us toll-free at 866-825-5420.

IoT & Smart Cities Stories
Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by ...
According to Forrester Research, every business will become either a digital predator or digital prey by 2020. To avoid demise, organizations must rapidly create new sources of value in their end-to-end customer experiences. True digital predators also must break down information and process silos and extend digital transformation initiatives to empower employees with the digital resources needed to win, serve, and retain customers.

IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. Unfortunately, this inevitably makes IoT less approachable for people to get started with and can hamper efforts to integrate this key technology into your own portfolio. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
