Arkeia Expands Operations in Germany

New Offices in Berlin Accelerate Momentum with Customers and Resellers

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Arkeia Software, a worldwide provider of backup and disaster recovery solutions, today announced the expansion of operations in Germany with the opening of new offices in Berlin. The new offices will serve customers and resellers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. Industry veteran Karsten Ehmann has been recruited to lead the new offices.

Arkeia solutions have already been deployed by more than 2,000 customers in this region. Companies such as Skoda Germany, Atari Germany, and Onetec Software rely on Arkeia for fast, easy-to-use and affordable backup solutions. The new offices will better serve current and future customers.

Regional Manager Karsten Ehmann

Karsten Ehmann joins Arkeia with more than 10 years of experience leading storage and security application companies. Ehmann has extensive knowledge of Linux and open-source technologies as well as a thorough understanding of the German, Austrian, Swiss and Central European markets. Prior to joining Arkeia, Ehmann founded and operated Digiorg Datensysteme e.K., a system integrator specializing in backup solutions for heterogeneous environments. Ehmann also oversaw storage and security implementations in a broad set of industries while with integrator Comnet Datensysteme.
